Leonie Abrahamson

Leonie has worked in early years as a practitioner, nursery teacher and lecturer since 1989. She has delivered training and assessed EYPS and Early Years Teacher Status trainees for London Metropolitan University and Tribal Education since 2008 and provides induction for Early Years Teacher mentors.

She is a Quality Improvement assessor for the Pre-school Learning Alliance’s QI scheme, ‘Reflecting on Quality’ and has delivered many of their training programmes.

Leonie has also worked as a staff development tutor and trainer within FE, HE and AE for over twenty years. She is a lead trainer and Safeguarding facilitator for Team Training and has delivered Initial Teacher Training programmes in FE Colleges. She provides coaching and training on developing leadership and management skills and effective communication.

Some of her particular areas of interest are: understanding the impact of trauma on thinking and learning and attachment relationships, overcoming barriers to learning and promoting resilience.

Her qualifications include PGCE (Primary), MA in Emotional Factors in Teaching and Learning, Introduction to Counselling and Advanced Diploma in Early Years.
